Dental Cleaning/Oral Hygiene

Good oral hygiene with regular dental cleanings is a necessary part of overall health by staving off a host of illnesses while also saving you from needless expense.

Generations Dental and the American Dental Association (ADA) recommend two dental checkups every year with X-rays and professional cleanings to maintain health and detect any emerging complications. Beyond the professional care we provide, we also advise our patients to follow proper hygiene techniques at home. Brushing twice a day and flossing daily removes plaque and prevents gum disease. We also recommend the use of fluoride toothpastes and mouthwash which have the power to not only prevent illness but actually repair newly emerging decay.

Children are especially vulnerable to oral health problems. If you are concerned about your child's oral hygiene please ask our dental hygienists about some tips and tricks you can use with your child at home. As they grow and get their permanent teeth, inquire about sealants to secure their molar health into the future.
